When Wallflowers Bloom

She is shy but willing to take chances this evening
She is painting pictures in her mind
of the things she's wishing would happen this evening
But she's changing the colors every time

In her eyes I can see there's something happening
but I can't quite figure what it is
everyone has to believe in something
and I believe that she might let me in

Baby where are you going?
The party's getting started
The dance floor looks inviting
but we don't have to dance here
You didn't bring an umbrella
I hope you can stand the weather
But we won't need an umbrella
for where the wallflowers bloom

Her face is serene and slowly revealing
a Mona Lisa smile from cheek to cheek
I can't explain the things I'm feeling
She is nothing short of a masterpiece

I am waiting to see what kind of courage
I can collect from running the bar dry
and I know that something is bound to happen
if by chance her eyes they meet mine

Baby where are you going?
The party's getting started
The dance floor looks inviting
but we don't have to dance here
Run out into the night time
and we'll drive away together
and there'll be no inhibitions
when we're dancing in my room
there'll be no inhibitions
when the wallflowers bloom
