Bryan Gallo is a Long Island based singer-songwriter who is inspired by the pressures and consequences of living life romantically. Intrigued by both the sounds of alternative country-rock and wistful pop music, he embarked on a career as a performing singer-songwriter and began to pen songs that would be deeply personal but still readily accessible. Steeped in reflective heartache, the lexicon of Gallo’s lyrics stands as a testament to his raw talent as a musician while weaving a flush and relatable narrative.
He's been the opening act for notable artists such as Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate & The Baseball Project fame, Bobby Bare Jr, and legendary comedian Robert Klein. Gallo's headlined The Patchogue Theater's Live In The Lobby series to much acclaim and has played many other storied venues across Long Island including The Vail Leavitt Theater, the historic Guild Hall, The Suffolk Theater, The Staller Center for The Arts, multiple performances as part of the Montauk Music Festival, and Great South Bay Music Festival. Not always confined to the Island that he calls home, Bryan has performed at notable NYC based venues including Pianos, Arleene's Grocery, and The Mercury Lounge. Whether it be an intimate gig at a tavern or cafe or on a large stage setting under the lights, Bryan's words and melodies stick with audiences long after the show is over.
Gallo's highly anticipated debut album, The Party Guest, was released on October 23rd, 2014. Pete Mancini of the Bellerose, NY based Alt-Country band Butchers Blind served as producer for the album with the entirety of Butchers Blind serving as the backing band. The album was recorded and mixed in a remote East Hampton cottage by Mick Hargreaves via his Lantern Sound Recording Rig. Hargreaves looked to capture the band over the course of several extended sessions with many of the tracks being recorded as live takes, and all those involved using the cottage as both recording space and clubhouse. The end result is a record that doesn't stray from Bryan's singer/songwriter sensibilities all while stacking on some true Rock and Roll. The Party Guest is a defining statement that encompasses several genres and shows promise for this up and coming Singer/Songwriter.
On November 27th 2015 he released a Holiday themed EP titled Santa Songs which included three original compositions and his take on two Christmas classics. The collection of songs resulted from pre-production in late October 2015 and the final masters delivered just two days before the desired release date of that Christmas Season's "Black Friday". Never one to say never and under a looming deadline, he assembled a team that worked long days and burned the midnight oil in order to have the music released just in time for the Holiday rush.
